EARLY CAREER //

In her teenage years, Nerissa won several awards in CCTV’s (China Central Television) national dance competitions and the Keep on dancing International Street Dance Competition. She was invited to perform a show on “The 10th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and South Korea” in Seoul in 2003.

In 2005, she was the first female lead (understudy) in Jacky Cheung’s groundbreaking Mandarin version of the Broadway-style musical Snow.Wolf.Lake. then in 2007 she became the first female lead role of his concert’s mini musical called Year of Jacky Cheung World Tour 2007. She also was one of the back vocalists of Jacky during these concerts. The tour started on February 2007 at the Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and ended at the Hong Kong Coliseum on February 2008 after touring 58 cities around the world, a total of 105 shows, attracting more than 2 million fans. 

In 2008, Nerissa performed Fire Work on the memorial concerts "Miss You Much Leslie” in Hong Kong and Chongqing for the 5th anniversary of Leslie Cheung's death. Big names of the Hong Kong entertainment industry, such as Jacky Cheung, Tony Leung Chiu-Wai, Andy Hui, Chilam Cheung, Karen Mok, Grasshoppers, Deanie Yip and others, performed as well at the concert in the Hong Kong Coliseum.

RECENT ACHIEVMENTS //

In 2015, Nerissa extended her music career from performer to music producer. She co-founded the ZALEM Studio in China with a French music producer. Her roles vary from composing, to arranging, to recording demo tapes, to teaching vocals. 

In 2016, she made the arrangements and composed some of the tracks of the Chinese cultural heritage show MEMORY 5D+ that premiered at the Pasadena Civic Theatre in Los Angeles in May 2017. 

 

She also composes, plays keyboards, sings and performs with her own trip hop band ANANKE who released their first album Protogenoi in December 2017.

In 2018, Nerissa has the opportunity to be the music director of the drama Bellas Imagen produced by MaHua FunAge (China), composed and arranged the 2 theme songs for the show, and also performed them on the first leg of the season at the A33 Theater in Beijing.

 

In 2019 she worked as a vocalist for the Is Blue concert at the Shanghai Mercedes-Benz Arena with Zitao Huang and the Super Slipper Concert at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center with David Tao.
